1. Expose to a Light Source (Charging): Place the patch under a suitable light source to "charge" the phosphors. Ensure the glow-in-the-dark areas have direct, unobstructed exposure to the light.

2. Charge for Recommended Time: The duration depends on the light source and its intensity:

•   Direct Sunlight: This is one of
the most effective sources. Charge for 5 to 10 minutes for a strong effect. 

•  UV Light (Blacklight) Flashlight: This is the fastest method. Charge for less than 5
minutes (sometimes just a few seconds) for a super-bright, quick charge.

• Bright Fluorescent or LED Light:
Charge for about 20 to 30 minutes.

•  Standard Incandescent Bulb: This is the least effective due to low UV output and may take 20 to 40 minutes or longer
for a full charge.

3.  Test the Glow: Once the charging
time is complete, take the patch into a completely dark environment to see the
glow.

4.  Recharge as Needed: The glow will be
brightest immediately after charging and will gradually dim over time (lasting
anywhere from 30 minutes at peak brightness to 8-12 hours as a low-level
afterglow). Simply repeat the charging process when the glow fades.

indoor light, bright LED or fluorescent lights are better than old incandescent

glow area of the patch is receiving direct light. If you have a small, targeted
glow area, focus your light source (like a UV flashlight) directly on it.

•  Charge Fully: While a quick hit
of light will make it glow, a full charge (like 10 minutes in the sun or 20-30
minutes under a strong lamp) will ensure the longest possible afterglow.

•  The Power of Dark: To see the glow
best, your eyes must be fully adjusted to the dark. If there is any ambient
light (streetlights, moonlight, other electronics), the glow will appear much
dimmer.
